Meet Stille Pierce & Pertzborn

Stille Pierce and Pertzborn was founded in 1948 by Roy E. Stille, who began his insurance career selling life and health insurance door-to door with Woodmen Accident & Life Company.  In the early 1960’s, Roy joined forces with the Schaller-Rice Agency and evolved into Schaller Rice & Stille. Through the years, smaller agencies were acquired and eventually became the Stille & Schaller Agency, gaining widespread respect in the local community.

In 1970, Roy’s son, Steve Stille, joined the agency and a year later, Roy passed. Tim

Pierce became a partner in 1972 and in 1981, Mike Pertzborn followed suit, forming

what is known today as Stille Pierce & Pertzborn Insurance Services. Tim passed away

in 2013 and Steve retired after 46 years in 2016, making way for a new generation of

partners. Tom James, a seasoned employee of SP&P, along with Mike’s two sons,

Michael Pertzborn II and Tony Pertzborn, joined as partners in January of 2017.

Together, these new partners bring a diverse insurance background and excitement

to serve our community and our valued customers.
